Cover: Proteomics of membrane associated proteins: 2D gel
electrophoresis of crude ovine lens fiber cell membrane proteins
separated horizontally by isoelectric point and vertically
by molecular weight. This procedure followed by microsequencing
of individual protein spots has led to the identification of
galectin-3, a new member in the lens' arsenal of adhesion
