Cover: Lectin/BrdU double-staining of retina from a rat eye previously injected (3 months) with AAV-VEGF. Retina was incubated with fluorescein conjugated Griffonia Simplicifolia isolectin B4 (green) to visualize the blood vessels and anti-BrdU antibody to label the dividing cells (red). The green cells (lectin) with red dots (BrdU) help identify newly formed blood vessels. BrdU staining was extensive in retina near AAV-VEGF injection area and minimal in retina furthest away from this area (not shown). See Wang et al. on page 781 of this issue.
