Cover: Second harmonic generated (SHG) microscopic image of the anterior human corneal stroma. Human corneal collagen organization was detected by imaging two photon generated second harmonic signals using an infrared femtosecond pulsed laser and a Zeiss 510 META confocal microscope. Signals were detected in the forward scattered (cyan) and backscattered (magenta) direction. SHG imaging detected collagen fibril organization that was highly interwoven in the anterior cornea; forming "anchoring lamellae" that inserted into Bowman's layer. Please see Morishige et al. on page 1087 of this issue.
